Hawks at 76ers
Philly heads back home after suffering yet another road loss. They welcome a Hawks team that has won 2 in a row against two tough teams. Now one of them was a Heat team playing on the road and the other a Luka-less Mavs squad. But still. Tough teams. The Hawks are 6-24 on the road and the Sixers are 26-2 at home. They are playing without Ben Simmons but I think they can still cover this one. I’ll bet Philadelphia.
Bucks at Wizards
Milwaukee handled the Sixers on Saturday and now head to Washington where the Bullets are playing their third game in 4 days. Bradley Beal had a sensational game yesterday but the Bullets couldn’t quite beat the Bulls. The Bucks are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 and they should cover this one. It’s a tad close for me and I don’t like Korver and Lopez being out but I’ll still lean Milwaukee.
Heat at Cavs
The Heat have to win this game. Not saying their season depends on it but if they can’t beat the fucking Cavs on the road then the season might just be over. The Heat handled the Cavs in Miami on Saturday and now have to do so again without Jimmy Butler who is still out. Miami is 13-17 on the road and they won’t lose them all. But I still can’t trust them. I’ll lean the Heat.
Magic at Nets
Brooklyn is coming off a Saturday win over the Hornets – improving them to 7-3 in their last 10. They might be without Kyrie for the season but they still have enough talent to ensure a playoff spot in the East. Another team vying for a playoff spot is the Magic. But they haven’t done much lately to earn one. Orlando is just 9-18 on the road and the Nets are 16-12 at home. I like Brooklyn here to get this done. I’ll bet the Bets.
Knicks at Rockets
The Rockets went into Utah on Saturday and won by 10. That makes it 3 in a row for them. They return home to welcome a Knicks team that has lost 3 in a row. The Rockets are only 14-13 ATS at home and 21-25 ATS as a favorite. This line is pretty spot on so I’ll lean the Knicks here getting those points.
Timberwolves at Mavs
Lots of injury question marks here. Karl Anthony Towns is out for Minnesota and D’Angelo Russell is listed as questionable. For the Mavs, Luka has been upgraded to probable. If he plays, the Mavs should cover against a Timberwolves team that has lost 4 in a row and 9 of 10. But Dallas also isn’t great at home and only 11-17-1 ATS there. I’ll lean the Mavs here but really this is a non-play.
Suns at Jazz
Utah has to be concerned. They have dropped two in a row – both at home – to start the second half. And they welcome a Suns team that managed to win on the road on Saturday while missing a good portion of their team to injuries. They still have injuries to deal with here today. The line is pretty accurate here and getting worse for Utah with the money and public on them. See if you can squeeze out a few more and then jump on Phoenix. For now, I’ll only lean the Suns.
Grizzlies at Clippers
Kawhi has been visibly frustrated with his team’s play lately but he needs to chill and realize that critical components – Paul George and Patrick Beverley – will be back soon. They are still listed as questionable tonight. The Grizzlies are also dealing with a key injury as Jaren Jackson Jr. will miss significant time with a knee injury. Both teams in little losing streaks and I expect the Clippers to break out of it. I’ll lean LA here.
Senators at Blue Jackets
Columbus has lost 8 in a row and have dropped into a tie as the last wild card spot in the East. They hope to break this slide by welcoming the Senators to town today. Ottawa has lost 2 in a row and are 6-17-5 on the road. I can’t trust the Senators on the road as a value play despite the money being on them and public on Columbus. Way too chalky to bet the Blue Jackets so this is a non play for me.
