Max is continuing his hot streak and Panther did well yesterday too! The Degens make their NBA picks and then Max makes his NHL plays.

Excerpts from Max’s Notes:

NBA Warriors at Celtics Square sucker play alert. Fresh off their big win in Miami, the Celtics head home to host a Warriors team that has lost 4 straight and their last 3 by double digits. That said, Golden State has been getting some big lines and despite their 1-9 straight up record in their last 10 they are 6-4 ATS in that same span. Boston is 18-5 at home this season and the TD Garden should be packed tonight. Jason Tatum and Enes Kanter are still out.

Raptors at Cavs The Cavs had a minor blip on Monday when they actually won a game. They got back to their losing ways on Tuesday and now have to host a Raptors team that has won 8 in a row. Toronto has become that dangerous team again now that Siakim is back in their lineup. The Raptors are a very good road team at 16-7 straight up.

Hornets at Wizards The Hornets took down the Knicks on Tuesday now head to Washington to face a Bullets team that has lost two in a row in epic fashion. I doubt the Hornets will drop 150 on Washington but even their anemic offense should see a massive boost against a porous Bullets defense. This line is pretty much spot on.

76ers at Hawks Joel Embiid returned on Tuesday and casually dropped 24 points and 10 rebounds. He’ll be along for the ride as the Sixers hit the road to Atlanta to take on a Hawks team that I put too much faith in on Tuesday night. They rewarded me by losing by 16. This is a test of wills here. The mantra has been bet against Philadelphia on the road. But another mantra has been don’t trust the Hawks.

Jazz at Nuggets Utah has dropped two in a row after losing to San Antonio last night. Now they will try to avoid 3 losses as they head to Denver to face a Nuggets team that is still battling injuries. Denver is 18-6 straight up at home but only 10-12-2 ATS. This a 50/50 game to me.

Kings at Clippers The Staples Center will more than likely be pure insanity tonight. I understand it’s the Clippers and not the Lakers but still, LA basketball fans will be out in full effect tonight as the Clippers host the Kings. The Clippers have won 4 of 5 with their only loss a surprising one against the Hawks. Sacramento got back to their losing ways with a 20 point loss last night at the hands of the Thunder. The Clippers are 19-4 straight up at home and 13-9 ATS. They haven’t been covering big spreads consistently but after a long road trip and the emotions in LA right now I expect a big win. Paul George is probable and I foresee him being a definite.

NHL Canadiens at Sabres Montreal lost at home on Monday but hit the road where they have seen more success. They head to Buffalo where the Sabres are reeling from a beat down by the Senators on Tuesday. I’d like to think the Sabres bounce back here. They are 14-7-3 at home and it’s tough to think they drop 2 in a row there.

Predators at Devils Nashville is another of those teams that seem to do better on the road than at home. They head to my neck of the woods to take on the Devils today. New Jersey beat the Senators on Monday to kick off the second half of the season. That broke a 3 game losing streak. The Devils have only won consecutive games 5 times this season.

Kings at Coyotes Tough one here. Both teams played and lost yesterday. Arizona is not great at home. They haven’t been playing well the past month. I actually see some value in the Kings here.
