Max’s Notes

NBA

Clippers at Celtics

The Celtics return home after a two game road trip that saw them drop their last one to Houston. That means they are 0-3 ATS over their last 3 games. The Clippers haven’t done much better. Coming off that loss from the Sixers they will be motivated to take down one of the East’s best teams. I’ve got to get to a point to start leaning the Celtics again but with only two games today, I’ll bet Boston.

Thunder at Pelicans

Zion is coming off a very good performance and now he leads the Pelicans today against a Thunder team that has lost two in a row after having a solid winning streak. New Orleans is 11-16 straight up and 15-12 ATS at home this season. The Thunder are 15-10 on the road but that improves to 20-5 ATS. I actually have the Thunder winning this game so I’ll take them here getting the points. Betting OKC.

NHLRed Wings at Devils

I won’t be fooled again… but there’s some value with Detroit here. The Devils are only 8-10-10 at home this season. They are 3-4-3 over their last 10 and coming off a loss on Tuesday. This is a winnable game for the Red Wings and at +158 it’s a possible play today. I’ll lean Detroit.

Oilers at Lightning

Tampa Bay is 9-0-1 over their last 10 and are riding an 8 game winning streak. They are 18-7-2 at home and have not lost a home game in two months. The Oilers are riding a 2 game winning streak and are decent on the road. But I’m jumping on the Lightning here. Betting Tampa.

Flyers at Panthers

Florida broke their losing streak on Tuesday and are 16-10-2 at home this season. The Flyers are not a very good road team but are 6-3-1 over their last 10 – including 3 big road wins. I’ll lean the Flyers here.

Stars at Maple Leafs

Dallas has won 2 in a row and are 15-10-3 on the road. Toronto is a solid home team and playing very well lately. Money and public are on Dallas and line has gotten better for them. I like Toronto here as a play. I’ll bet the Maple Leafs.

Blue Jackets at Sabres

Columbus has lost 2 in a row but are 7-1-2 over their last 10. Buffalo is 1-3 over their last 4 home games and continue to slide in the standings. I’d lean Columbus here.

Rangers at Wild

Igor Shesterkin is expected to play today and it’s tough to not ride that hot hand for the Rangers. Minnesota is 17-8-4 at home this season and are 7-3-0 over their last 10. Money and public are split on this one. But I’ll bet the Rangers as a dog here.

Capitals at Avalanche

Hell of a matchup here. Colorado has won 5 in a row and are 8-1-1 over their last 10. The Capitals have lost 2 in a row. The Avalanche’s wins lately have been over lesser teams so it’ll be interesting to see how they approach this one. Money is on Colorado and public is on the Capitals. I’ll lean Washington here to avoid a 3 game losing streak.
