It’s always dangerous to bet in the playoffs, but the Degens have no fear!

Max, Panther and Arch make their picks in the NFL ATS and NFL Totals.

NFL Vikings at 49ers The Vikings upset the Saints and now look to knock out the #1 seed today. It’ll be tough. San Francisco is one of the most balanced teams on both sides of the ball. If Minnesota is to have any chance here they will need to establish a run game so the Niners defense lays off the pass rush a bit. Because they can get get to QBs and their secondary doesn’t give up many open targets so Cousins won’t be able to get a lot of short passes out. For the Niners, it’s about protecting Jimmy G from the Vikings blitzing.

Titans at Ravens After knocking off the defending Super Bowl champs, Mike Vrabel and company head to Baltimore to see if they can shock the world by beating the mighty Ravens. Tennessee will need to give the ball to Derrick Henry and if he gets through their front seven, he could have a monster day. But that only works if they can keep Baltimore’s offense in check early. The Ravens like to shock and awe early in games in order to get a big lead and neutralize their weakness of giving up big run plays by forcing their opponents to abandon a run game strategy. I think this line has been inflated a bit.

Texans at Chiefs It took a comeback win and outstanding OT play by Deshaun Watson for the Texans to get past the Bills last week. He’s got to have been the main focus of Steve Spagnuolo the last few weeks. The Chiefs much improved defense has allowed Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes to be a bit more methodical when it comes to pulling out the crazy plays. Last season, Mahomes could sling the ball around the field as much as he wanted. Fun to watch but also risky in the playoffs. Now with a good defense, they can have an aggressive offense without the need to try and put up video game numbers to out score opponents just because their defense sucks.

Seahawks at Packers Pete Carroll has already come out and said he’s going to run the ball this weekend. Because why use your best weapon in Russell Wilson? You know, MVP candidate who has carried your team all year? It’s the perfect time to reign him in and give him a fucking weekend off. The Seahawks continue to be one of the luckiest teams in the league. Last week, they knocked out Carson Wentz and then faced a 40 year old QB with a torn hamstring. And barely won. Maybe it’s resiliency more than luck and they go into Lambeau and get the win. I’ve been the biggest critic of the Packers and I still don’t think they are a great team.
