November 26th NBA and NHL Degeneracy

NBA

Clippers at Mavs

Both teams riding 5 game winning streaks and both teams with two stars to lead the way. Kawhi and PG13 head to Dallas to square off against Luka and the Mavs. Dallas is coming off a huge win over the Rockets the other night and take on a Clippers team that is only 1-4 on the road. Dallas is 6-3 at home and 9-7 against the spread on the season. As an underdog they are 3-2. This is a close one but love the home team getting points here.

Wizards at Nuggets

The high-scoring Bullets come into Denver greeted by a lot of snow. They also face a Nuggets team that is playing great defense and will try to contain the 119 points per game that Washington puts up. The Bullets start a rough road stretch today and will be away from DC in 12 of their next 16 games. Denver is 7-7-1 against the spread and overall has done well covering the big spreads this year. I just think it’s a tad too many points to cover against a team that scores this much.

NHL

Wild at Devils

The Devils are coming off a big win over the Red Wings on Saturday and host the Minnesota Wild who are coming off back to back losses. The Wild have not done well on the road this year and are 4-10-2 away from Minnesota. The Devils haven’t done much better at home but have won 2 of 3 at the Rock.

Bruins at Canadians

The Bruins started to get healthy. They saw star players Patrice Bergeron and Torey Krug return and they went 4-0-1 in that span. Now Bergeron is our again and the Bruins have to travel to Montreal to face a a struggling Canadians team. Montreal has lost 4 straight and their last 3 at home. Part of that might be fatigue from goalie Corey Price who has started 9 of the team’s last 10 games and looked exhausted against the Rangers the other night. I think the Bruins will get it done tonight.

Stars at Blackhawks

Dallas won it’s 7th in a row against Vegas last night. In that winning streak is a 2-1 shutout win over the Blackhawks. Chicago has lost 3 straight but all have been against quality teams. I love Dallas and I think they are playing elite hockey right now but coming off a back to back makes me weary.
