Excerpts from Mad Max’s Notes

Celtics at Cavs

The Cavs got a couple of wins but in defeat they are losing by a lot. The Celtics are coming off a close win over the Knicks. Last season is Charlotte it was Kemba Walker and what? Now it’s Kemba Walker and some pretty good players.

Pacers at Hornets

The Pacers have won 3 in a row and remembered they were supposed to beat bad teams. They play another bad team today as they travel down to Charlotte to take on the Hornets. The Hornets return home after a 4 game road trip that they concluded with back to back wins.

Spurs at Hawks

The Hawks have dropped 3 in a row but might be getting their main man Meth Curry back today. Reports are that Trae Young will be ready to go but the team might be cautious and sit him out again. The Spurs lost 2 of 3 to the LA teams and now have a quick game on Atlanta before returning home for a 3 game home stint.

Magic at Thunder

Orlando cannot score. Through 6 games they are averaging 93.5 points per game and have yet to crack triple digits. The Thunder are coming off a win against the Pelicans on Saturday. Chris Paul has been a limited factor for OKC but had his best performance this season in his last start.

Lakers at Bulls

The Lakers are going for their 6th straight win and are running with over a +10 differential. Chicago has not been able to get anything going this season. We thought their young talent might improve and get better but that hasn’t happened and they look disjointed out there in losses to the Cavs and Knicks this past week.

Heat at Nuggets

The Heat absolutely demolished the Rockets and now set their targets on another Western Conference powerhouse. But the Denver Nuggets have lacked some power lately. The Nuggets offense has not been that consistent and they barely got a win over an Orlando team that is incapable of scoring

2-0 again last night. That puts me at 34-32 on the season and 8-0 over my last 8.

Coyotes at Flames

The Coyotes played yesterday and my initial reaction was to give the Flames a look today. Phoenix went into OT yesterday so that’s another reason to think they will be tired today. But the Flames still might not be thrilled to be home against a hot team like the Coyotes.

Golden Knights at Blue Jackets

Vegas has dropped two in a row but they were close ones. Columbus has not looked right this season.
