Max’s Sports Bet Picks for 1/19/22

Sports Bet Picks for 1/19/22

BKN (1.5) at WAS (-1.5)

Pick: Bet $10 BKN ML

Total: 231.5 (Lean Under – 230)

Predicted Score: BKN 115 – WAS 115

Notes: The Wizards have won 4 of their last 5 games. Their lone loss was a home gaffe against the Blazers.

Trust me. I know.

Now they welcome the Brooklyn Nets into town – a team coming off a loss to the Cavs and a loss of Kevin Durant for a couple of months.

In that game, Kyrie Irving said, “Motherfuckers still ungrateful” regarding the Cleveland fans who were booing him. With a positive attitude like that, one must wonder why the Cavs fans were booing him.

Kyrie will get to play today though I was unsure of that because of Washington’s vaccine mandate. It’s a similar mandate that keeps Kyrie from playing home games.

But it looks likes he’s cleared to play this one and with the Nets on the road, he will get a chance to be the alpha as Durant recovers.

Washington is playing some good ball as of late but other than their win over Philly – again, trust me, I know – they have had a lighter schedule. I like the Nets to grab a road win today.

$10 moneyline bet on Brooklyn.

MIN (2) at ATL (-2)

Pick: Bet $10 MIN ML

Total: 233 (Lean Under – 229)

Predicted Score: MIN 119 – ATL 110

Notes:  The Hawks are coming off a big win over the Bucks. Trust me. I know.

They welcome in a T-Wolves team playing in a back-to-back after beating the Knicks yesterday.

Trust me. I know.

And now I am sensing a theme of how my last few days of NBA betting has gone.

Minnesota improved to 10-12 on the road this season and overall is playing some pretty good basketball now that everyone is healthy on the team.

Atlanta is still dealing with some key injuries but Trae Young is coming off a very good game and will be motivated to put together a winning streak.

I just think the value is on the T-Wolves here as I have them winning this game outright.

So a $10 moneyline bet on Minnesota.

MEM (6) at MIL (-6)

Pick: Bet $10 MEM ML

Total: 226 (Lean Under – 222)

Predicted Score: MEM 113 – MIL 109

Notes: The Grizzlies continue to be one of the hottest teams in the NBA. Despite a laugher against Dallas a few days back, this team has been firing on all cylinders.

The Bucks, of course, are coming off that loss to the Hawks and are losers of 4 of their last 5 games. Maybe they are sleepwalking through the regular season again or maybe the injuries are really hampering them.

Jrue Holiday is listed as questionable heading into tonight and you would expect him to log some minutes if he is available. How effective he will be, no one knows – especially when trying to keep up with the fast-paced Grizzlies.

Memphis leads the league in fast-break scoring. Milwaukee has done well in transition defense this season but will need a healthy Holiday to help with that tonight against the speed of Morant and Desmond Bane.

Another one where I have the dog outright winning so worth me taking a flyer.

$10 moneyline bet on Memphis.

OKC (6.5) at SAS (-6.5)

Pick: Bet $10 OKC ML

Total: 219.5 (Lean Over – 220)

Predicted Score: OKC 111 – SAS 109

Notes: Something happened the other day that may just spell my doom. I bet against the Spurs. And they lost!

It’s a rare occasion when I bet against them and walk away a winner. Dare I try again?

OKC has been a team that has made me the most money all season. Pretty much a handful of big plus lines has my in the black with them despite a few misreads on them showing up on the road.

Low and behold, it’s a road game for them tonight. They have managed only 6 road wins this season but against a team like the Spurs and a big moneyline like this, I am hoping they can notch #7.

Probably a game where it makes sense to take the points but I do have them winning a close one here.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is averaging 30 points per game over his last 4 games and Josh Giddey continues to stuff the box scores. The Spurs are finally somewhat healthy but even at full strength, this team lacks a true alpha to push them to a win.

OKC has 2 it seems.

So yeah, $10 moneyline bet on the Thunder.

LAC (7.5) at DEN (-7.5)

Pick: Bet $15 DEN ML

Total: 212.5 (Lean Over – 214)

Predicted Score: LAC 102 – DEN 112

Notes: Denver continues to be a team that baffles me. And the last time they played the Clippers was certainly a baffling one – scoring only 85 points in a loss.

They get a chance to avenge that loss as the Clippers head to Denver fresh off a big win over the Pacers. LA is still awaiting to get one or both of their star players back.

Kawhi and PG were at the Rams game the other night – resulting in another meme-worthy moment for Mr. Leonard. As PG, Mookie Betts and others were dancing and having a good time – Kawhi is in the corner giving everyone the side eye.

Which is probably what he’s doing while rehabbing their ACL – giving this team a side eye and wondering which team he will sign with next (cough Golden State).

Reigning MVP Nikola Jokic is coming off back-to-back triple doubles. He’s been able to get some rest in the blowout games and maybe this is another chance.

I like Denver to win big but in order to make this moneyline work, I need to up the ante.

$15 moneyline bet on the Nuggets.

DET (5.5) at SAC (-5.5)

Pick: Bet $10 SAC ML

Total: 221 (Lean Under – 221)

Predicted Score: DET 105 – SAC 116

Notes: As teams continue to pester Detroit about the availability of Jerami Grant, he’s been assigned to the G-League to rehab his injury.

Many teams could use a player like Grant so he could be bubble wrapped after showing he is healthy enough to get max value.

Without him, this team’s offense centers on Cade Cunningham. The rookie has been doing well to start his NBA career but he cannot do everything on his own here.

Sacramento is an incredibly inconsistent team but does have some talent. Talent that could also be dealt soon.

Neither team is anything to get excited about but the Kings do still have the ability to put up some points. Their defense is still shit. But they can score.

And I expect them to score some points tonight.

$10 moneyline bet on the Kings.

CHA (4.5) at BOS (-4.5)

Pick: Lean CHA

Total: 220 (Lean Under – 203)

Predicted Score: CHA 102 – BOS 101

ORL (11.5) at PHI (-11.5)

Pick: Lean ORL

Total: 211.5 (Lean Under – 210)

Predicted Score: ORL 102 – PHI 108

POR (8.5) at MIA (-8.5)

Pick: Lean POR

Total: 215.5 (Lean Over – 218)

Predicted Score: POR 107 – MIA 111

CLE (-2.5) at CHI (2.5)

Pick: Lean CLE

Total: 215.5 (Lean Over – 222)

Predicted Score: CLE 113 – CHI 109

TOR (4) at DAL (-4)

Pick: Lean DAL

Total: 206.5 (Lean Under – 205)

Predicted Score: TOR 100 – DAL 105

HOU (12) at UTA (-12)

Pick: Lean HOU

Total: 232 (Lean Under – 224)

Predicted Score: HOU 114 – UTA 110

IND (5) at LAL (-5)

Pick: Lean IND

Total: 223 (Lean Over – 228)

Predicted Score: IND 112 – LAL 116

Sports Bet Picks for 1/19/22

Toronto Maple Leafs (-160) at New York Rangers (140)

Pick: Lean Toronto

Arizona Coyotes (175) at New Jersey Devils (-205)

Pick: Lean New Jersey

Colorado Avalanche (-245) at Anaheim Ducks (205)

Pick: Lean Colorado
