Max’s Sports Bet Picks for 1/31/22

NBA

Sports Bet Picks for 1/31/22

LAC (1.5) at IND (-1.5)

Pick: Bet $10 LAC ML

Total: 218 (Lean Over – 235)

Predicted Score: LAC 119 – IND 116

Notes: Indiana has not been playing good basketball as of late. And with all of their injuries, it’s not a surprise that they are 1-4 over their last 5 – with their lone win an OT one over OKC.

They got Sabonis back in their last game but still lost to Dallas by 27. In fact, in their last 4 losses, they have lost by an average of 18.25 points per game.

The Clippers continue their road trip and surprisingly, they have done pretty well. They have beaten Washington, Charlotte and Orlando. That Charlotte win came yesterday so perhaps they will be a bit gassed today playing in a back-to-back.

LA’s winning ways cannot be pinpointed to on player. Still without PG and Kawhi, this team has forged ahead with a next man up type attitude. Marcus Morris Sr., Luke Kennard, Justise Winslow, Brandon Boston, Reggie Jackson or Terance Mann could be the leading scorer on any given night.

Which makes you think that with this depth, if they had their two star players, this Clippers team could be one of the more dangerous ones.

I’m betting them today or should I say I am betting against the Pacers’ lack of defense today.

$10 moneyline bet on the Clippers.

TOR (2) at ATL (-2)

Pick: Bet $10 ATL ML

Total: 218.5 (Lean Over – 223)

Predicted Score: TOR 108 – ATL 115

Notes: The last time the Raptors were on the court was Saturday. They battled the Heat to a 3OT win. With a day off in between games, they now head to Atlanta to take on a Hawks team that has won 7 games in a row.

Atlanta was a team with a lot of hope entering this season. They fizzled for the most part but have been playing their best basketball as of late. Coming off an 8-point win over the Lakers yesterday, the Hawks are the 5th hottest shooting team in the league the past week.

Trae Young has been a huge part of that. Other than a poor shooting night against Boston, he’s been hitting 3’s like nothing lately.

The Raptors are a scrappy team and it’s hard to bet against them. I just think the red hot shooting of the Hawks will carry Atlanta to the win tonight.

$10 moneyline bet on the Hawks.

SAC (5.5) at NYK (-5.5)

Pick: Bet $10 NYK ML

Total: 214.5 (Lean Over – 216)

Predicted Score: SAC 105 – NYK 111

Notes: The trade rumors around Julius Randle have been swirling the past few weeks. It’s crazy to think that after his last season with the Knicks. But New York is fickle. And a drop-off in production has them sounding the alarms that they made a huge mistake by signing Randle.

The mistake, of course, would be to give up on him. Unless there is a huge return for him, I just don’t see the Knicks being even close to competitive without Randle out on the floor.

One team that might inquire about Randle is their opponent tonight. The Kings are looking to blow everything up and start all over. Rebuffed already for Ben Simmons, the Kings have some assets to deal for a player like Randle.

For some reason, whether it coaching or fit, this team has not been able to produce. Losers of 6 in a row, the Kings have not been able to grab a win – even when they can keep it close.

The Knicks are coming home from a road trip. Which is always a concern. But its been 3 days so hopefully they have their shit in order and can break their losing streak.

$10 moneyline bet on the Knicks.

Leans

MEM (3.5) at PHI (-3.5)

Pick: Lean MEM

Total: 219 (Lean Under – 219)

Predicted Score: MEM 108 – PHI 111

NOP (8.5) at CLE (-8.5)

Pick: Lean NOP

Total: 212 (Lean Under – 206)

Predicted Score: NOP 101 – CLE 105

MIA (3.5) at BOS (-3.5)

Pick: Lean BOS

Total: 210 (Lean Over – 211)

Predicted Score: MIA 103 – BOS 108

GSW (-10.5) at HOU (10.5)

Pick: Lean HOU

Total: 230.5 (Lean Under – 224)

Predicted Score: GSW 114 – HOU 110

POR (-3.5) at OKC (3.5)

Pick: Lean OKC

Total: 217.5 (Lean Under – 217)

Predicted Score: POR 110 – OKC 107

NHL

Sports Bet Picks for 1/31/22

Vancouver Canucks (-105) at Chicago Blackhawks (-115)

Pick: Bet $10 Vancouver

Notes: Two teams that aren’t playing very good hockey right here. But someone has to win. It’s not like football where regular season ties can happen.

Instead, you know, it goes to a shootout. Because I really want to see a field goal fest to close out a football game in OT.

But I digress.

Someone has to win this game and I think it’ll be Vancouver. In their losses, they have at least been competitive. Chicago has not been competitive at all.

The implied probability is more than enough for me to take the Canucks here.

$10 bet on Vancouver.

Anaheim Ducks (-105) at Detroit Red Wings (-115)

Pick: Bet $10 Anaheim

Notes: Anaheim is one of the hotter teams in hockey right now. They have won 4 of 5 games and their lone loss was a 4-3 loss to the Maple Leafs.

The Red Wings, on the other hand, have just one win over their last 5 games. It was a solid win over the Penguins. In their losses though, they are losing by an average of 2.5 goals per game.

The Ducks are just one point behind the Golden Knights in the Pacific Division. This is a streaky team and I think we’re hitting them in the middle of one of their hotter streaks.

$10 bet on the Ducks.

Leans

Florida Panthers (-255) at Columbus Blue Jackets (215)

Pick: Lean Florida

Edmonton Oilers (-200) at Ottawa Senators (170)

Pick: Lean Edmonton

New Jersey Devils (280) at Toronto Maple Leafs (-340)

Pick: Lean Toronto
