Max’s Sports Bet Picks for 1/5/22

Sports Bet Picks for 1/5/22

PHI (-7.5) at ORL (7.5)

Pick: Bet $15 PHI ML

Total: 210.5 (Lean Over – 221)

Predicted Score: PHI 116 – ORL 105

Notes: The Sixers have won 4 games in a row including 3 road games. After a quick stop in Philly two days ago, they hit the road again to sunny Florida to take on a Magic team that have lost 6 in a row.

Orlando is just 2-13 at home this season and at 7-31, wins have been hard to come by.

Statistically, Philly has been an average at best kind of team this season. A lot of that has been a result of Covid cases and injuries.

But they still have a winning record and seem to be clicking right now.

It’s a chalky one so upping the bet today.

$15 moneyline bet on the Sixers.

OKC (8) at MIN (-8)

Pick: Bet $10 OKC ML

Total: 213.5 (Lean Under – 210)

Predicted Score: OKC 104 – MIN 106

Notes: Neither team has found many wins as of late. But last time I moneylined the Thunder it went pretty well so let me take another shot today.

The T-Wolves have been playing without most of their starters lately. KAT and D-Lo are game time decisions for today.

I am factoring them in as playing and even still, I only have Minnesota winning this game by 2 points.

For OKC, it’s hard not to like what Gilgeous-Alexander and Giddey are doing out there. There’s some dynamic young players in this league and OKC has two of them.

The value is definitely on OKC here so I’ll take another shot.

$10 moneyline bet on the Thunder.

SAS (8) at BOS (-8)

Pick: Lean SAS

Total: 221.5 (Lean Over – 224)

Predicted Score: SAS 111 – BOS 113

DET (9.5) at CHA (-9.5)

Pick: Lean DET

Total: 228 (Lean Under – 224)

Predicted Score: DET 110 – CHA 114

HOU (6.5) at WAS (-6.5)

Pick: Lean WAS

Total: 224.5 (Lean Over – 230)

Predicted Score: HOU 111 – WAS 119

GSW (-5.5) at DAL (5.5)

Pick: Lean DAL

Total: 211.5 (Lean Over – 214)

Predicted Score: GSW 107 – DAL 107

MIA (1) at POR (-1)

Pick: Lean MIA

Total: 216.5 (Lean Over – 233)

Predicted Score: MIA 120 – POR 113

BKN (-7.5) at IND (7.5)

Pick: Lean IND

Total: 218.5 (Lean Over – 225)

Predicted Score: BKN 115 – IND 110

TOR (8) at MIL (-8)

Pick: Lean MIL

Total: 225.5 (Lean Over – 234)

Predicted Score: TOR 109 – MIL 125

ATL (1) at SAC (-1)

Pick: Lean ATL

Total: 229.5 (Lean Under – 221)

Predicted Score: ATL 111 – SAC 110

UTA (-5) at DEN (5)

Pick: Lean UTA

Total: 222 (Lean Under – 219)

Predicted Score: UTA 113 – DEN 106

Sports Bet Picks for 1/5/22

St. Louis Blues (116) at Pittsburgh Penguins (-141)

Pick: Bet $10 St. Louis

Notes: The Penguins are one of the hottest teams in hockey and that Covid break doesn’t seem to have slowed them down. They put up 8 goals against the Sharks the other day to win their 8th game in a row.

The Blues are also playing some pretty damn good hockey. After shaking off the brutal cold of an outdoors game in Minnesota, they look to get their 8th win over their last 10 games.

The Blues have navigated Covid issues and enter the game pretty healthy. The Penguins were hit hard with the injury bug but have managed to win no matter what.

And Pittsburgh gets the news today that Tristan Jarry might return to goal for tonight’s game.

These two teams have not played sin 2019. So hard to see how they matchup with each other.

My numbers have St. Louis slightly winning this one so with a plus line, I’ll take a chance.

$10 bet on the Blues.

Edmonton Oilers (180) at Toronto Maple Leafs (-210)

Pick: Lean Toronto
