Max’s Sports Bet Picks for 11/9/21
MIL (-6) at PHI (6)
Pick: $10 ML bet PHI
Total: 222.5 (Bet $10 Under – 206)
Predicted Score: MIL 102 – PHI 104
Notes: The Bucks have lost 4 of 5 games and have only cracked 100 points once in that span. The Sixers are banged up, playing in a back-to-back and are without Joel Embiid due to COVID protocols.
It will be up to Seth Curry, Danny Green and Andre Drummond to keep them afloat. At first I looked at this as an unbettable game but really, with the way Milwaukee is playing right now the value is on Philly here.
$10 bet on the Sixers moneyline and also a $10 bet on the under.
ATL (7) at UTA (-7)
Pick: $15 ML bet UTA
Total: 221.5 (Lean Over – 225)
Predicted Score: ATL 108 – UTA 117
Notes: The Hawks have lost 4 in a row including a blowout loss to the Jazz at home 5 days ago. Atlanta is not shooting the ball well lately and continue to take low percentage shots on the court.
They had to deal with 50 points for Steph Curry yesterday and maybe it’ll be the same from Donovan Mitchell today. The Jazz have lost two in a row including an embarrassing one to the Magic two days ago. But this is a team that is 3-0 at home and in recent years just tough to beat at home.
$15 moneyline bet on Utah.
POR (2.5) at LAC (-2.5)
Pick: Bet $10 ML LAC
Total: 220 (Lean Under – 208)
Predicted Score: POR 103 – LAC 105
Notes: Paul George is playing at an MVP-like level and the Clippers have won 4 in a row. The team found out that Kawhi Leonard is ahead of schedule on his ACL tear rehab but if he’s back this season in any capacity is still a mystery. Maybe he’s back to practice by March or April or maybe he misses the whole year. Kawhi has spent half of his career winning championships and the other half sitting on his couch collecting a paycheck while arguing with team doctors.
The Blazers, meanwhile, have both of their star players available but one of them has been in a funk to start the year. Damian Lillard just does not look like he wants to be there and with the offseason rumblings, you have to wonder if he brings up the topic of being traded again this season.
Portland is 0-4 on the road and 5-5 as a whole. It’s a team that you really can’t rely on as a consistent betting option. Not saying the Clippers are either, but I do like them to win tonight.
$10 moneyline bet on LA.
Pittsburgh Penguins (-130) at Chicago Blackhawks (110)
Pick: Bet $10 Pittsburgh
Notes: The Penguins have stumbled a bit as of late but despite a couple of wins, the Blackhawks are still a team with a lot of issues. Patrick Kane is still producing but I can imagine his name popping up around the trade deadline should Chicago keep up their losing ways. Pittsburgh handled Chicago earlier in the season during the Penguins’ home opener.
Pittsburgh has not been on the road since their opening 2 games so hard to tell if they will have some road woes this season. After an 8 game home stretch, we are about to find out as 7 of their next 10 games will be on the road.
I think they get one today. $10 bet on the Penguins.
Seattle Kraken (115) at Vegas Golden Knights (-140)
Pick: Bet $10 Seattle
Notes: The most recent expansion teams kicked off the season and Vegas snuck out a 4-3 win. Since then, nothing has been great for either team, really. The Golden Knights went on to lose 4 in a row before bouncing back recently. They will return home after capping their road trip with a beatdown by the Red Wings.
Seattle has played somewhat better as of late but being the first team to lose to Arizona is not a way to endear yourself to sports betters. The line movement indicates that some sports betters are not scared off. $10 bet on Seattle while there is still a little value left.
Anaheim Ducks (125) at Vancouver Canucks (-145)
Pick: Bet $10 Anaheim
Notes: Anaheim has won 4 in a row but the competition was not stellar and they were at home. They hit the road today and head to Vancouver to play a winnable game against a subpar Canucks team. Vancouver is coming off a nice win over Dallas but other than that game, scoring has been a big issue for them.
The value is on the Ducks to get the win today. $10 bet on Anaheim.
Florida Panthers (-145) at New Jersey Devils (120)
Pick: Lean Florida
Notes: The Panthers lost to the Rangers yesterday and should get the win. But sharp money is hitting New Jersey and there is some odd line movement.
Los Angeles Kings (115) at Montreal Canadiens (-135)
Pick: Lean Montreal
Ottawa Senators (230) at Boston Bruins (-290)
Pick: Lean Boston
Carolina Hurricanes (120) at Tampa Bay Lightning (-140)
Pick: Lean Carolina
Edmonton Oilers (-210) at Detroit Red Wings (180)
Pick: Lean Edmonton
St. Louis Blues (-120) at Winnipeg Jets (100)
Pick: Lean St. Louis
San Jose Sharks (190) at Calgary Flames (-225)
Pick: Lean Calgary
