Max’s Sports Bet Picks for 12/1/22
NFL Week 13 Thursday Night Football
Buffalo (-3.5) vs. New England (3.5)
Spread: Bet $50 New England
Total: Lean Over 43.5
Predicted Score: Buffalo 23 – New England 22 (45)
Notes: There are two specific questions we need answered from these two teams.
For Buffalo, is Josh Allen’s injury really significant.
Because I don’t know if its mental or actually physical, but he has not been the same MVP we saw earlier in the year.
Is he bad?
No, far from that.
You want bad QB play then download Sunday’s Max Bet NFL where I dissect Zach Wilson and Taylor Heinicke.
But still, Allen looks mortal out there now.
And I’m not sure mortal gets them a Super Bowl if he has to face off against the god that is Patrick Mahomes or even emerging god Joe Burrow.
And it might not be enough in a December Thursday night game in Foxborough either.
That is, if the Patriots question can be answered tonight.
And the question is did Mac Jones turn a corner last week.
This is a guy who had some good games to start his career and then kinda fell of the face of the earth.
But last week, on Thanksgiving, against the Vikings the dude went off for 382 yards and 2 TDs with no INTs and posting a 119.8 rating.
Much like Josh Allen has had his ups and downs, if that was a sign of Jones going back up, then this Patriots team becomes extremely dangerous down the stretch.
I am tempering expectations here, for sure, but knowing that the Bills are a bit vulnerable at the moment and seeing that potential from Jones has be jumping on New England today.
Bills should win but I like the Pats at home with these points.
$50 bet on New England.
DAL (-7.5) at DET (7.5)
Pick: Lean DET
Notes: The instant reaction here is that Dallas should roll tonight.
They have the current MVP and Detroit is missing their start young player Cade Cunningham.
But its Dallas on the road.
Weird things happen to this team away from Dallas.
The Mavs are 1-7 on the road this season and that lone road win was a close one in Brooklyn during their 4th game of the season.
Since then, a 6-game road losing streak.
Now granted, their opponents, for the most part, were tougher road teams.
So they should get the win today.
But I am backing off.
A lean on the Pistons with the points.
But just to have some skin in the NBA tonight, I’ll bet $10 on the over 221.
All NHL bets posted at the Book Club.
