Max’s Sports Bet Picks for 12/3/21
CLE (4.5) at WAS (-4.5)
Pick: Bet $10 ML CLE
Total: 209 (Lean Over – 210)
Predicted Score: CLE 109 – WAS 101
Notes: Cleveland has won 3 games in a row including their last 2 which were on the road. That puts the Cavs at 12-10 on the year and 7-4 on the road. Much better than we had expected.
The Wizards got a good win over Minnesota two days ago but they still don’t look as good as they did a few weeks ago. This Cleveland team could present some problems.
They 4th in defensive efficiency, 10th in opponent’s effective FG% and 6th in defending the 3. Washington does not shoot a lot of 3’s so it could come down to interior defense – where Cleveland has a great presence.
I think there is value on the dog here. So a $10 bet on the Cavs.
LAC (1.5) at LAL (-1.5)
Pick: Bet $10 LAL ML
Total: 215.5 (Lean Over – 223)
Predicted Score: LAC 109 – LAL 114
Notes: The Clippers have lost 4 of 5 games as the loss of Batum has really worn on them. He’s still out tonight and facing a Lakers team that welcomes back LeBron from Covid protocols – in what might have been the fastest a player has ever returned after a positive test.
But LeBron does not seem like the type of person to have other people take tests for him. So I’m sure its all on the up and up. It’s not like he’s hanging out with Antonio Brown or something.
Nevertheless, the King is back on the court today for the 12th time of the season and the Lakers are 7-4 with him on the court. This is one that the Lakers shouldn’t lose and I’d argue, can’t lose.
$10 bet on LA. The Lakers that is.
BOS (8.5) at UTA (-8.5)
Pick: Lean BOS
Total: 213.5 (Lean Under – 212)
Predicted Score: BOS 104 – UTA 108
Notes: Jaylen Brown will sit out tonight.
MIA (5.5) at IND (-5.5)
Pick: Lean IND
Total: 208.5 (Lean Over – 212)
Predicted Score: MIA 105 – IND 107
Notes: Bam has a torn ligament in his thumb and is out. Jimmy Butler is also out today and tomorrow.
PHI (1.5) at ATL (-1.5)
Pick: Lean ATL
Total: 213.5 (Lean Under – 208)
Predicted Score: PHI 102 – ATL 106
MIN (7.5) at BKN (-7.5)
Pick: Lean MIN
Total: 218.5 (Lean Over – 225)
Predicted Score: MIN 113 – BKN 112
Notes: KAT is questionable and Edwards is probable.
ORL (2.5) at HOU (-2.5)
Pick: Lean HOU
Total: 214.5 (Lean Over – 221)
Predicted Score: ORL 107 – HOU 114
NOP (7.5) at DAL (-7.5)
Pick: Lean NOP
Total: 218 (Lean Under – 217)
Predicted Score: NOP 109 – DAL 108
PHX (6.5) at GSW (-6.5)
Pick: Lean GSW
Total: 217.5 (Lean Under – 217)
Predicted Score: PHX 108 – GSW 109
New Jersey Devils (155) at Winnipeg Jets (-175)
Pick: Bet $10 Winnipeg
Notes: The Devils are playing in a back-to-back as they lost in Minnesota yesterday. They head further up North to Arch Stanton territory as they take on the Jets tonight in Winnipeg.
Kyle Connor has been having a very good year for the Jets but the Winnipeg offense ranks only 24th in goals scored per game.
It is their defense that has won them games as Hellebuyck is having a solid season. Still, he did give up 4 goals recently to Minnesota and giving up 1 goal to Arizona is like giving up 6 goals to a normal team.
But I like him to slow down the Devils today.
$10 be on the Jets.
San Jose Sharks (155) at New York Rangers (-175)
Pick: Bet $10 New York
Notes: San Jose got the OT win over the Islanders yesterday but have to turn around tonight and head to MSG to take on the Rangers. New York has won 4 games in a row and are only 3 points behind the Capitals in the Metropolitan Division.
I’ve liked the Rangers the past couple of seasons with the emergence of their young goalie Igor Shesterkin and the dynamic play of Artemi Panarin. But I admit I did not think they would be this good.
14th in goals scored per game, 4th in shooting percentage, 6th in goals allowed, 5th in save percentage, and 6th in expected goals difference. The only major mark against them is puck control – but San Jose is not much better there either.
I ate chalk on them the other day against Philly and I will do it again.
$10 bet on the Rangers.
Vegas Golden Knights (-225) at Arizona Coyotes (185)
Pick: Lean Vegas
Calgary Flames (-130) at Anaheim Ducks (110)
Pick: Lean Calgary
Edmonton Oilers (-125) at Seattle Kraken (105)
Pick: Lean Edmonton
