Max’s Sports Bet Picks for 12/4/21
NFL Week 13
LA Chargers (3) vs. Cincinnati (-3)
Spread: Bet $50 Cincinnati
Total: Lean Over (49.5)
Predicted Score: LA Chargers 24 – Cincinnati 29 (53)
Notes: The Bengals have won 2 in a row after losing 2 in a row. They find themselves a 7-4 team and one of the contenders for a playoff spot in the AFC.
Standing as a possible deterrent, is the LA Chargers – who sit at 6-5 after Chargering it up last week in Denver. Part of their issue is a league worst rush defense that gave up 147 to the Broncos last week.
So it’ll be interesting to see how they gameplan against Joe Mixon and the Bengals who have been one of the most dangerous rushing teams the past month.
I like the Bengals to win their 3rd in a row and cover the 3 here. $50 bet on Cincinnati.
Philadelphia (-7) vs. NY Jets (7)
Spread: Bet $50 NY Jets
Total: Lean Under (45)
Predicted Score: Philadelphia 26 – NY Jets 19 (45)
Notes: OK, I am on the wrong side of the Eagles every time I bet on one of their games. Lets see if that holds true again this week as they head over to New Jersey to take on the Jets.
Philly did not have much luck in the Meadowlands last week against the Giants. Their offense sputtered and Jalen Hurts had one of his worst games of his career.
The Jets are coming off a 21-14 win over the Texans last week that broke their 3-game losing streak. It was their third win after beating the Bengals and Titans prior to that.
The Jets kind of oscillate between competitive or trainwreck. That has to do with an overall dearth of talent. But Robert Saleh gets a lot from this team and I think they can keep it close enough this week.
$50 bet on the Jets.
Washington (1.5) vs. Las Vegas (-1.5)
Spread: Bet $50 Washington
Total: Lean Under (49.5)
Predicted Score: Washington 22 – Las Vegas 23 (45)
Notes: The Football Club have won 3 games in a row as they head to Vegas to take on a Raiders team that last played on Thanksgiving. Vegas beat the Cowboys to break a 3-game losing streak.
Vegas has had a crazy season and it was nice to see they them get a win. Because, you know, fuck the Cowboys.
But I don’t think one win is indicative of them turning things around. Vegas has the second worst defense over the past month in terms of yards allowed and the worst in terms of points allowed.
Despite scoring 36 last week, their points per game are down by 2 points over the last month.
Derek Carr is still having a very good season but their rushing game has been terrible this season and their time of possession is amongst the bottom of the league.
Washington’s running game has been stellar – which has allowed Heinicke the ability to move the ball as defenses try to stop the run. And they’ve had a Top 5 defense the past month.
This was a team we liked last year and it seems like maybe they are getting things back together.
$50 bet on the Football Club.
San Francisco (-3.5) vs. Seattle (3.5)
Spread: Bet $50 San Francisco
Total: Lean Over (46)
Predicted Score: San Francisco 30 – Seattle 19 (49)
Notes: Seattle’s defense has been one of the worst the past month. San Francisco’s has only trailed New England’s in that time span.
Jimmy G and the Niners have also had a top 10 offense the past month while Seattle has been in the bottom five of yards per game and points scored.
Getting Russell Wilson back has not helped at all. They came close to coming from behind against Washington last week but I don’t think they can hang with the Niners here.
I understand it’s a division game and Seattle is at home and that fucking hook is there once again – staring me in the face, mocking me.
But I’ll do it anyway.
$50 bet on San Francisco.
Denver (9.5) vs. Kansas City (-9.5)
Spread: Bet $50 Denver
Total: Lean Under (47)
Predicted Score: Denver 20 – Kansas City 24 (44)
Notes: Are the Chiefs back? Well, we might find out for sure this week. If they can somehow win and cover this one, I think I’d be a step closer to saying that.
KC has won 4 games in a row and hold a narrow lead of the AFC West right now. Denver has won 3 of 4 and has been a pesky team at times this season.
That home loss to the Eagles was a bit shocking but to bounce back and take down the Chargers last week was pretty remarkable.
I wonder if Denver will be able to run on KC like they did to LA last week. The Chiefs’ defense has been much improved and their run defense has been sensational. But their offense is still a bit of a question mark.
It’s been good. I think.
They are 12th in points per game over the last month and 6th in yards per game. That’s good, right?
I mean, for a team that averaged 417 yards per game and 28.5 points per game last season only getting over 400 yards once this season is still OK, right?
KC should win this one. They should. But even when they were elite they struggled to cover lines this big. I just think its too many points.
$50 bet on the Broncos.
Minnesota (-7.5) vs. Detroit (7.5)
Spread: Lean Minnesota
Total: Lean Under (46.5)
Predicted Score: Minnesota 27 – Detroit 16 (43)
NY Giants (6.5) vs. Miami (-6.5)
Spread: Lean NY Giants
Total: Lean Over (39.5)
Predicted Score: NY Giants 19 – Miami 21 (40)
Tampa Bay (-10.5) vs. Atlanta (10.5)
Spread: Lean Tampa Bay
Total: Lean Over (50.5)
Predicted Score: Tampa Bay 33 – Atlanta 18 (51)
Indianapolis (-10) vs. Houston (10)
Spread: Lean Indianapolis
Total: Lean Under (44.5)
Predicted Score: Indianapolis 30 – Houston 14 (44)
Arizona (-7.5) vs. Chicago (7.5)
Spread: Lean Arizona
Total: Lean Over (42.5)
Predicted Score: Arizona 29 – Chicago 15 (44)
Jacksonville (13) vs. LA Rams (-13)
Spread: Lean Jacksonville
Total: Lean Under (48)
Predicted Score: Jacksonville 17 – LA Rams 30 (47)
Baltimore (-4.5) vs. Pittsburgh (4.5)
Spread: Lean Baltimore
Total: Lean Under (44)
Predicted Score: Baltimore 24 – Pittsburgh 18 (42)
