Max’s Sports Bet Picks for 12/7/22
IND (4.5) at MIN (-4.5)
Pick: Bet IND ML +164
Notes: It’s been said on this show a few times before that my spreadsheet loves the Pacers and hates the fucking T-Wolves.
In fact, maybe my time with Saxy Maxy this NFL season has my spreadsheet hating all things Minnesota.
Since it doesn’t like the Vikings much either.
Anyway, The T-Wolves have been 1-4 over their last 5 and have been impacted by the KAT injury.
Indiana is also banged up as Tyrese Haliburton will miss the game today and there’s some Q tags on a few other key players.
Still, the Pacers have proven to be a gritty team and with this plus line, there’s some value on them winning today.
$10 moneyline bet on the Pacers.
OKC (6.5) at MEM (-6.5)
Pick: Bet $10 OKC +6.5
Notes: The Grizzlies look back to form as they’ve won 4 of 5 but they host a very competitive OKC team today.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is an emerging superstar.
His rise in the NBA must be giving Charlotte – the team that drafted him – and the Clippers – the team that traded him away for PG13 – some second thoughts.
The Grizzlies have their own emerging superstar in Ja Morant.
And he should lead them to a win today.
But with the points I think OKC is a good play as I think they can hang in there.
$10 bet on OKC with the points.
WAS (5.5) at CHI (-5.5)
Pick: Bet $10 CHI ML -235
Notes: Chicago is one of the more frustrating teams in this league.
Looking at their roster, you can’t say that the loss of Lonzo Ball has been the key factor in them losing.
Losers of 4 of their last 5, Chicago returns home to host a Bullets team that has also experienced some losing lately.
The Wiz will be without Bradley Beal today – which makes it seem like the Bulls have the edge to at least win this one.
$10 moneyline bet on Chicago.
BOS (-1.5) at PHX (1.5)
Pick: Bet $10 BOS ML -118
Notes: And now its time to rip the band-aid off.
Boston continues their road trip today – heading to Phoenix to take on the Suns.
The Suns are coming off a road loss in Dallas but at home, they are 12-2 this year.
Boston is one of the better road teams in the league – posting a 9-3 record.
The Celtics got a big road win against the Raptors in their last one out.
And they do pretty well against quality opponents this season.
So its not just getting fat off the dregs of the league.
Chris Paul might be back for this one – which seems like a blessing and a curse.
First games back from injuries can be kinda awkward at times.
I think this should be a good game but ultimately I give Boston the edge here.
$10 moneyline bet on Boston.
