NFL Week 14 Fantasy

Sports Bet Picks for 12/9/21

Fantasy Recap

In DFS, bad week. Cousins had a decent week but I lost Thielen to an injury. The bright spots were Elijah Moore, Antonio Gibson and the Rams’ defense.

In my PPR league, I ended up winning by less than 2 points and only because my opponent had Josh Allen and the Buffalo defense.

QB: Taylor Heinicke (WAS – $7100) – He’s been playing decently enough but now he gets a Dallas defense that struggles to defend the pass and has been the worst pass defense the past month.

WR: Terry McLaurin (WAS – $7100) – I’m going to stack Heinicke with McLaurin this week. He has not been too good the last few weeks but this Dallas defense might revive him.

RB: Leonard Fournette (TB – $7600) – After New England just tore apart the Bills’ rush defense, I expect Arians o do the same this week.

RB: Antonio Gibson (WAS – $7400) – Dallas’ pass defense hasn’t been the only thing that’s been lacking lately. They’ve been giving up lots of rushing yards and Gibson has been playing very well recently.

WR: Ja’Marr Chase (CIN – $7200) – He’s been quiet the past month or so and is due for a big game. The San Francisco defense has been amazing but I think that plays in favor of Chase here because Burrow is going to want to target his safety blanket

QB: Patrick Mahomes (KC – $8500) – The thought is that since his best game this year was a 5 TD, 400 yard performance against the Raiders that this should be a big week for him. I just don’t want to risk that. He’s thrown for 300 yards only 4 times this year and has only thrown more than 3 TDs only 5 times.

Too much money and too much risk. I’d avoid and find value elsewhere.

RB: Josh Jacobs (LV – $7100) – The Chiefs’ defense is playing well and the Raiders have struggled to run the ball this season. Jacobs has had 2 good weeks in a row but I’d fade him this one.

WR: Chris Godwin (TB – $7700) – The Bills’ passing defense is pretty solid and Godwin has had some stinkers against tough defenses this season. He had a good game last week and not sure if he can do it two weeks in a row.

WR: DJ Moore (CAR – $6800) – Atlanta has been terrible against the pass lately and Moore has produced since Cam has shown up.

WR: Elijah Moore (NYJ – $6300) – He’s really been sensational this season and while I should expect a letdown after getting a lot from him last week, the New Orleans’ secondary is middle of the pack at best this season.

TE: Noah Fant (DEN – $5800) – Good matchup for Fant and some upside he can put up some better numbers this week.

DEF: Seattle ($4500) – Houston is averaging 13.7 points per game this season. And that’s down to 12 over their last 3. Seattle’s defense is not very good, but definitely value with the matchup.

NFL Week 14 Thursday Night Football

Sports Bet Picks for 12/9/21

Pittsburgh (3) vs. Minnesota (-3)

Spread: Bet $50 Minnesota

Total: Lean Over 43.5

Predicted Score: Pittsburgh 20 – Minnesota 26 (46)

Notes: The Vikings will look to bounce back from a humiliating loss to the Lions that probably should have cost Mike Zimmer his job. Taking on a Steelers’ team that might be falsely emboldened by their win over the Ravens last week.

It was the time of win that falls right into the Vikings’ tradition recently. You know, close game, usually blow it at the end.

But I like them to come out this week and get a solid win. Minnesota is going to be without Adam Thielen – so expect Justin Jefferson to have a big day. Dalvin Cook is questionable but should play.

And that could make the difference. I’ll roll the dice and take my chances he does.

$50 bet on the Vikings.
