Max’s Sports Bet Picks for 2/18/22

Sports Bet Picks for 2/18/22

Florida Panthers (-120) at Minnesota Wild (100)

Pick: Bet $10 Florida

Notes: Florida is coming off an impressive win against Carolina on Wednesday. It was made even better because it was a road game and they have struggled a bit on the road this season.

The Wild are looking to bounce back from a loss in Winnipeg on Wednesday.

These are two of the top teams in the league and this should be a great game for sure.

Florida is a scoring machine. They have the best expected goals for and create shots from everywhere on the ice.

The scoring has not traveled with them this season so if they cannot produce there, the need to hope Bobrovsky has a stellar night in goal.

The Wild, of course, have a talented group of defensemen and should definitely put the pressure on Florida to score.

The Panthers are a damn good team and I think they right the ship of their road woes in the second half. This could be a big win for them to prove that.

$10 bet on the Panthers.

Dallas Stars (-140) at Chicago Blackhawks (120)

Pick: Bet $10 Dallas

Notes: I was touting the solid play by Marc Andre-Fleury as of late and he didn’t even play yesterday.

That led the way for Columbus to drop 7 goals on the Blackhawks yesterday – 6 on Soderblom and 1 empty netter at the end.

Fleury should be available tonight against Dallas but not sure it will help them get a win.

Dallas is not a very good road team but they are coming off an impressive road win over the Avalanche on Tuesday.

The Stars are 7-3 over their last 10 games and offense has been a part of that. They are getting great shots on goal and their power play has been sensational.

Paveelski, Hintz and Robertson have combined for 139 points in 131 combined games. That’s fairly remarkable for sure.

I think the Dallas offense will travel here and get a nice road win.

$10 bet on the Stars.

Nashville Predators (150) at Carolina Hurricanes (-175)

Pick: Lean Carolina

Notes: Both teams have lost 4 of their last 5 games and looking to secure a win. Carolina is, of course, coming off that close loss to the Panthers on Wednesday.

The Predators have been beaten badly as of late and Tuesday’s loss to the Capitals was embarrassing for sure.

Nashville’s offense has been decent but it’s been their goaltending that has kept them competitive. Saros did not have his A game on Tuesday but I expect him to bounce back today.

The money seems to think so too. They are pounding the Predators with this big plus line.

I have Carolina winning but not by a lot. So the value would be on Nashville if you bet this one.

I’m staying off it though.

Los Angeles Kings (146) at Vegas Golden Knights (-178)

Pick: Lean Vegas

Notes: The Golden Knights have dropped two in a row and look to bounce back against a dangerous LA team.

In their two previous matchups, you have seen high-scoring and lopsided wins by each team. So I expect this one to be a bit tighter of a matchup.

Especially with Vegas’ recent offensive struggles.

I have Vegas winning this game but nowhere near the implied probability to bet them. Possibly some value in jumping on the Kings here instead.
