Max’s Sports Bet Picks for 3/14/22

Sports Bet Picks for 3/14/22

LAC (6.5) at CLE (-6.5)

Pick: Bet $10 LAC ML

Total: 211.5 (Lean Over – 217)

Predicted Score: LAC 110 – CLE 107

Notes: The Cavs are returning home after a 3-game road trip. This team has faded lately and is in danger of slipping into the play-in games.

That would still be an improvement from a team that we didn’t expect much from this year, but considering they were at the top of the East at one point this season, it’s indicative of some bad play the past month or so.

Jarrett Allen’s injury has hurt them and they are dealing with questionable tags to Caris LeVert, Lauri Markkanen and Rajon Rondo.

The Clippers have played better the past few weeks and could be entrenched into that 8-spot in the West.

LA has not been a solid road team this season but they won one in Detroit yesterday and I think they can win two in a row in this back-to-back situation.

$10 moneyline bet on the Clippers.

MIN (-5) at SAS (5)

Pick: Bet $10 MIN ML

Total: 241 (Lean Under – 228)

Predicted Score: MIN 119 – SAS 109

Notes: I bet against the Spurs on Saturday and it worked out. I will tempt the gambling gods today as I bet against them once again.

Minnesota has won 4 of 5 and are coming off a big road win over the Heat.

The T-Wolves are 9 games over .500 and are getting dangerously close to a real playoff spot.

Minnesota’s defense continues to improve while also maintaining a top 10 offense.

In their last game, 8 players scored double-digits and all 8 of those players had at least one 3-pointer.

Try defending that.

The Spurs are a mediocre at best defense and rank 21st in opponent’s 3 point %.

I already told you what I am doing but I’ll make it official.

$10 moneyline bet on the T-Wolves.

MIL (-1.5) at UTA (1.5)

Pick: Bet $10 UTA ML

Total: 234.5 (Lean Over – 235)

Predicted Score: MIL 116 – UTA 119

Notes: The Bucks were rolling until they ran into the Warriors on Saturday. Now they look to bounce back against another of the top teams in the West.

The Jazz recovered from a close loss to the Spurs by beating the Kings on Saturday.

Rudy Gobert is a bit banged up and listed as questionable today. But it does look like he will suit up.

The Jazz are not unbeatable at home this year but at 24-10, they are still pretty damn good.

This is a great match-up and a possible championship preview.

I like the Jazz to sneak this one out.

$10 moneyline bet on Utah.

POR (12.5) at ATL (-12.5)

Pick: Lean ATL

Total: 233.5 (Lean Under – 229)

Predicted Score: POR 107 – ATL 122

DEN (2.5) at PHI (-2.5)

Pick: Lean DEN

Total: 220.5 (Lean Over – 225)

Predicted Score: DEN 115 – PHI 110

CHA (-8.5) at OKC (8.5)

Pick: Lean CHA

Total: 230.5 (Lean Over – 239)

Predicted Score: CHA 125 – OKC 114

CHI (-5) at SAC (5)

Pick: Lean SAC

Total: 236 (Lean Under – 227)

Predicted Score: CHI 114 – SAC 113

WAS (12.5) at GSW (-12.5)

Pick: Lean WAS

Total: 225 (Lean Over – 229)

Predicted Score: WAS 112 – GSW 117

TOR (-4.5) at LAL (4.5)

Pick: Lean TOR

Total: 224.5 (Lean Over – 226)

Predicted Score: TOR 117 – LAL 109

Arizona Coyotes (145) at Ottawa Senators (-170)

Pick: Lean Ottawa

Notes: I don’t know what league official hates Pi Day but celebrating with the Coyotes / Senators is just awful.

Funny enough though, the Coyotes have actually been playing pretty well lately.

Before their close loss to the Bruins the other day, they won 4 in a row – including an 8-5 win over the Senators.

Arizona is leading the league in goals per game during the month of March.

Ottawa, on the other hand, has not been able to string together consistent play on the ice.

Injuries have played a role in that and without starting goalie Matt Murray, we might see AHL call-up Filip Gustavsson today.

Gustavsson has not played well in his NHL starts but is coming off a pretty good outing against the Rangers his last go out.

So with an AHL goalie and the Arizona offense playing like it has, the over 6 might be a good option.

I have Ottawa winning this one enough to cover but the recency of Arizona scares me off.

I know its not sustainable for them and will drop off at some point, but I am not dying on a hill in Ottawa.

Lean the Senators.
