Max’s Sports Bet Picks for 3/30/22
NBA
MIN (2.5) at TOR (-2.5)
Pick: Bet $10 TOR ML
Total: 229.5 (Lean Under – 228)
Predicted Score: MIN 111 – TOR 117
Notes: Toronto has won 4 of their last 5 games including that OT win over the Celtics.
Trust me. I know.
They continue their homestand by welcoming in the T-Wolves today. Minnesota is just 18-20 on the road this season and coming off a blowout loss in Boston.
To Maxy’s delight, the T-Wolves recent losses have put them 2 games out of the actual playoffs – making the play-in games likely for them.
Toronto has wedged themselves into the 6th seed but could move up to the 5th with a few more wins.
And I think they get one tonight.
$10 moneyline bet on the Raptors.
SAC (-2) at HOU (2)
Pick: Bet $10 HOU ML
Total: 233 (Lean Under – 228)
Predicted Score: SAC 113 – HOU 115
Notes: The Kings continue their road trip tonight by heading to Houston. The Kings have actually had a pretty good run – winning in Indiana and Orlando.
For a team with just 11 road wins on the season, getting 18% of those wins the past week isn’t too bad.
The Rockets have the same 11-26 record at home this season.
The Kings are really banged up. Sabonis is hurt. Fox is hurt. Holmes is hurt. Name a player and he’s probably hurt.
Terence Davis? Hurt.
Josh Jackson? Hurt.
Chris Webber? Doesn’t play for them anymore but probably hurt.
Houston isn’t the beacon of health. Their best player won’t play tonight as Christian Wood is listed as out.
The Rockets returned home after a road trip and loss a close one to the Spurs.
So they should be ready to win the battle of the injured teams tonight.
$10 moneyline bet on the Rockets.
PHX (-6) at GSW (6)
Pick: Bet $10 PHX ML
Total: 225 (Lean Over – 229)
Predicted Score: PHX 120 – GSW 109
Notes: The Warriors currently sit in 3rd in the Western Conference standings but they better watch out or the Mavs could supplant them.
Losing 4 of 5 games doesn’t help.
They are returning home after a long road trip.
Which we know can sometimes be more of a curse than a blessing.
Golden State is 29-9 at home this season but without Curry, this team just isn’t as good.
The Suns, on the other hand, have won 8 in a row and are cruising.
Their biggest challenge at this point is balancing complacency with injury avoidance.
So I expect them to play out the remainder of these games but maybe not push it 100%.
Which makes the moneyline the option here.
$10 moneyline bet on the Suns.
Leans
DAL (-4.5) at CLE (4.5)

Predicted Score: DAL 110 – CLE 112

Pick: Lean ORL

Predicted Score: ORL 108 – WAS 111
DEN (-10) at IND (10)
Pick: Lean IND
Total: 232.5 (Lean Over – 234)
Predicted Score: DEN 120 – IND 114
MIA (4.5) at BOS (-4.5)
Pick: Lean BOS
Total: 215.5 (Lean Over – 225)
Predicted Score: MIA 106 – BOS 119
CHA (-2) at NYK (2)
Pick: Lean NYK

ATL (-13) at OKC (13)

NOP (-13.5) at POR (13.5)

Predicted Score: NOP 121 – POR 107
NHL
Winnipeg Jets (-165) at Buffalo Sabres (140)
Pick: Bet $10 Winnipeg
Notes: The Jets have won 4 of their last 5 games as they head to Buffalo tonight for a matchup against a somewhat better playing Buffalo team.
Buffalo’s offense has managed to put up some goals as of late – which has led to some wins.
They came back from a 4-goal deficit on Monday. Which is also a testament to how bad their goaltending continues to be.
Winnipeg is 8-3 over their last 11 games.
And while their offense has equally been good, they have Connor Hellebuyck in goal to bail them out of some shitty defensive efforts.
I like the Jets to grab the win today but it could get ugly.
$10 bet on Winnipeg.
Los Angeles Kings (165) at Edmonton Oilers (-195)
Pick: Bet $10 Los Angeles
Notes: The Oilers bounced back from a slaughter at the hands of the Flames by beating the might Coyotes a few days back.
Los Angeles kicks off their road trip dragging along a beaten up and injured squad.
The Kings still hold a points advantage over the Oilers in the Pacific but those aforementioned injuries could impact their playoff positioning.
Los Angeles is missing Drew Doughty, Sean Walker, Matt Roy, Mikey Anderson, Dustin Brown, Andreas Athanasiou, Brendan Lemieux and Blake Lizotte.
For those who follow hockey, you understand the impact.
For those who don’t, well, I just listed 8 players. So do the math.
Still, the Kings have managed to play scrappy hockey and scratch out some wins.
Jonathan Quick should get the start in goal for them today and he’s been pretty good this year.
And I think that makes them a value play in this one.
Despite the injuries, I’ll take a shot on betting the Kings today.
$10 bet on Los Angeles.
