Max’s Sports Bet Picks for 4/30/22

Sports Bet Picks for 4/30/22

CLE (-164) at OAK (138)

Pick: Bet $10 CLE

Notes: Shane Justin Bieber will take the mound as my latest blindspot, the Cleveland Guardians, try to win two in a row against the A’s.

Cleveland’s offense showed up yesterday proving once again, they are mighty against subpar or mediocre teams.

Oakland is the definition of mediocre.

At 10-10 they have a better record than the Guardians but statistically, there is nothing that says they should be.

Cole Irvin will take the mound for Oakland today and he’s one of the better starters for this team.

With a 3.32 ERA and 1.11 WHIP, Irvin has shown that he’s a top starter for this team – alongside Paul Blackburn.

So maybe Irvin can quiet down the Guardians’ bats today.

But I also think that Oakland’s offensive output yesterday was an outlier for them.

The 8 runs they scored yesterday was more than their previous 5 games combined.

I acknowledge my blindspot on Cleveland but say screw it anyway.

I’m a believer in Bieber.

$10 bet on the Guardians.

CHC (142) at MIL (-168)

Pick: Bet $10 MIL

Notes: And speaking of blindspots.

At some point I’ll need to place a bet on the Brewers to break my bad streak with them.

That point is today!

Staff ace, Eric Lauer, is on the mound.

He’s 1-0 with a 2.20 ERA and 1.04 WHIP.

Now if you download and listen to every episode, you’d get the joke here.

Lauer started the season off strong last year and I said he was the ace of the staff.

He eventually fell apart and two other guys on the Brewers ended up having some pretty good – maybe even Cy Young level seasons.

But the season is still early and Lauer has not shown signs of shitting the bed just yet.

The Brewers have won 4 in a row and put up 11 runs yesterday.

I think they have a chance to make that 5 in a row against the very hittable Justin Steele.

$10 bet on Milwaukee.
