Max’s Sports Bet Picks for 4/5/22
ATL (4) at TOR (-4)
Pick: Bet $10 TOR ML
Total: 226.5 (Lean Over – 230)
Predicted Score: ATL 113 – TOR 117
Notes: The Raptors enter the final weeks of the season right behind the Bulls for the 5 spot in the East.
They have won 7 of their last 10 games and despite a loss in their last outing – trust me I know – this team has played some pretty good basketball lately.
Atlanta has also played well lately – winning 5 games in a row and making strides to get the 7 seed in the play-in tournament.
The Hawks are 15-23 on the road this season but they have won 3 of their last 4 road games.
Still, the Raptors are solid home team and I think they hold the fort tonight.
$10 moneyline bet on the Raptors.
POR (4) at OKC (-4)
Pick: Bet $10 OKC ML
Total: 223.5 (Lean Over – 231)
Predicted Score: POR 112 – OKC 119
Notes: The Blazers have lost 7 straight games and its hard to imagine they will win many games here on out.
This is a team that completely imploded after trading McCollum. Their closest game lately was a 3-point OT loss to the Thunder.
Other than that it’s been a bunch of double-digit blowouts.
OKC got a big win over the Suns on Sunday and did so without either of their future stars.
Both Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Josh Giddey are out for the season.
Despite that, OKC should still grab the win today.
$10 moneyline bet on the Thunder.
SAS (7.5) at DEN (-7.5)
Pick: Bet $10 SAS ML
Total: 234.5 (Lean Over – 236)
Predicted Score: SAS 121 – DEN 115
Notes: The Spurs sit 2 games up on the Lakers in the play-in tournament and if there was ever a time I was a Spurs fan, it’s now.
The Nuggets have won 4 of 5 games and have moved up to the 5 seed in the West.
Jokic appears to be the favorite to win MVP – something Joel Embiid apparently is salty about.
So I know it’s hard to fade a team, at home with the MVP leader on it.
Especially by backing the Spurs.
But San Antonio has also played some winning basketball lately and with this big plus line, it’s hard to resist.
$10 moneyline bet on the Spurs.
PHI (-12) at IND (12)
Pick: Lean IND
Total: 231.5 (Lean Under – 231)
Predicted Score: PHI 119 – IND 112
CLE (-9) at ORL (9)
Pick: Lean ORL
Total: 214.5 (Lean Over – 215)
Predicted Score: CLE 109 – ORL 106
CHA (5) at MIA (-5)
Pick: Lean CHA
Total: 233.5 (Lean Under – 225)
Predicted Score: CHA 112 – MIA 113
HOU (18) at BKN (-18)
Pick: Lean HOU
Total: 244 (Lean Under – 229)
Predicted Score: HOU 115 – BKN 114
MIL (-4.5) at CHI (4.5)
Pick: Lean CHI
Total: 229.5 (Lean Over – 232)
Predicted Score: MIL 115 – CHI 117
WAS (11.5) at MIN (-11.5)
Pick: Lean WAS
Total: 233.5 (Lean Under – 226)
Predicted Score: WAS 110 – MIN 116
MEM (5) at UTA (-5)
Pick: Lean MEM
Total: 222 (Lean Over – 227)
Predicted Score: MEM 115 – UTA 112
NOP (-8.5) at SAC (8.5)
Pick: Lean SAC
Total: 225.5 (Lean Under – 216)
Predicted Score: NOP 111 – SAC 105
LAL (11.5) at PHX (-11.5)
Pick: Lean LAL
Total: 232.5 (Lean Under – 230)
Predicted Score: LAL 112 – PHX 118
Ottawa Senators (-115) at Montreal Canadiens (-104)
Pick: Bet $10 Ottawa
Notes: In the matchup of the night, the Senators come into town as the hotter of the two teams.
The Senators have won 3 out of 5 including 2 straight wins over the Red Wings.
Montreal got a shocking win over the Lightning in their road closer 3 days ago.
They return home where they are 10-19-4 on the season.
Ottawa has struggled offensively all season but they are on a bit of a hot streak lately. It will come crashing down but I like them to hold on for one more day.
$10 bet on the Senators.
Boston Bruins (-200) at Detroit Red Wings (164)
Pick: Bet $10 Boston
Notes: Boston has won 3 in a row and 9 of 11 games after getting a win yesterday. They head to Detroit where the Red Wings have lost 6 in a row.
Linus Ullmark got the start yesterday for the Bruins so backup Jeremy Swayman will be in the net today.
Swayman has had a very good season and should overmatch a lackluster Detroit offense.
I use lackluster as a compliment, really. Because now I get to talk about their defense and goaltending.
Which is complete dogshit.
Alex Nedeljkovic has allowed four or more goals in 3 consecutive starts. Probably make that 4.
The line is lower because of the back-to-back and backup goalie situation for Boston. I just don’t think those things matter.
$10 bet on the Bruins.
Columbus Blue Jackets (106) at Philadelphia Flyers (-128)
Pick: Lean Columbus
Colorado Avalanche (105) at Pittsburgh Penguins (-126)
Pick: Lean Pittsburgh
Carolina Hurricanes (-275) at Buffalo Sabres (220)
Pick: Lean Carolina
New York Rangers (-162) at New Jersey Devils (134)
Pick: Lean New York
Toronto Maple Leafs (146) at Florida Panthers (-178)
Pick: Lean Toronto
Minnesota Wild (-120) at Nashville Predators (100)
Pick: Lean Minnesota
New York Islanders (114) at Dallas Stars (-137)
Pick: Lean Dallas
Edmonton Oilers (-196) at San Jose Sharks (162)
Pick: Lean Edmonton
