Max’s Sports Bet Picks for 4/7/22

Sports Bet Picks for 4/7/22

MIL (-194) at CHC (162)

Pick: Bet $10 MIL

Notes: Hard to bet against the Cubs in their home opener but I just think they are outmatched here.

Chicago is in a transition or rebuild phase – where they have gotten rid of some of their previous star players and are mixing in young talent and some other veteran players.

Corbin Burnes will get the start for the Brewers – matching up against my favorite type of gin for the Cubs.

Burnes had a hell of a year last season while Hendricks was so-so.

I’m not super high up on the Brewers this year but hard to argue I like them in this opening series.

$10 bet on Milwaukee.

SD (-164) at ARI (138)

Pick: Bet $10 ARI

Notes: I don’t believe the Diamondbacks will win a lot of games this year. But man I kind of like them to win their opener.

There’s some lofty expectations once again for the Padres. But they start the season off missing their best player and with a starting rotation that could be good or could be disappointing.

Look no further than their ace pitcher – Yu Darvish.

Sometimes, the looks like a Cy Young candidate. Other times, he’s befitting of his nickname Yu Garbage.

That’s not to say MadBum on the other side is much better. He had flashes last season before showing his broken down ways.

I think the value is on the D-Backs to steal this one. So a bit of a flyer.

$10 bet on Arizona.

PIT (176) at STL (-210)

Pick: Lean STL

CLE (-136) at KC (116)

Pick: Lean KC

NYM (-134) at WSH (114)

Pick: Lean NYM

CIN (164) at ATL (-198)

Pick: Lean CIN

HOU (108) at LAA (-126)

Pick: Lean LAA

PHI (1.5) at TOR (-1.5)

Pick: Bet $10 TOR ML

Total: 218.5 (Lean Over – 225)

Predicted Score: PHI 110 – TOR 115

Notes: In a potential first-round match-up, we’ve found out that at least one Sixers player who might not be eligible to play.

Matisse Thybulle is not vaccinated and cannot play in tonight’s game. That’s a huge loss for the Sixers as Thybulle brings extra defense and is part of the only remaining depth this team has.

Still, they have the MVP runner up and Jimmy James so they are still a dangerous team.

Philly has won 3 in a row and are in game 3 of their current road trip.

The Raptors are playing great basketball heading into the playoffs.

They’ve won 4 of 5 with their lone loss a close one to the Heat. Trust me. I know.

The Raptors are 22-17 at home this season and I like them to notch another home win today.

$10 moneyline bet on Toronto.

ORL (13.5) at CHA (-13.5)

Pick: Lean ORL

Total: 228 (Lean Under – 223)

Predicted Score: ORL 110 – CHA 113

BOS (6) at MIL (-6)

Pick: Lean BOS

Total: 227 (Lean Over – 231)

Predicted Score: BOS 120 – MIL 111

POR (16.5) at NOP (-16.5)

Pick: Lean POR

Total: 224 (Lean Under – 221)

Predicted Score: POR 105 – NOP 116

SAS (8.5) at MIN (-8.5)

Pick: Lean SAS

Total: 238.5 (Lean Under – 231)

Predicted Score: SAS 120 – MIN 111

MEM (3.5) at DEN (-3.5)

Pick: Lean MEM

Total: 232.5 (Lean Over – 237)

Predicted Score: MEM 121 – DEN 116

LAL (12.5) at GSW (-12.5)

Pick: Lean LAL

Total: 222 (Lean Over – 225)

Predicted Score: LAL 110 – GSW 115

Pittsburgh Penguins (-113) at New York Rangers (-106)

Pick: Bet $10 Pittsburgh

Notes: Neither team playing great hockey lately. Granted, the Penguins previous 2 losses were to the Avalanche so can’t fault them too much.

But their loss before that was to … the Rangers.

New York lost a pair of local games this past week – dropping a game to the Flyers and one to the Islanders.

Solid goalie matchup today as Shesterkin is slated to be in goal for the Rangers and Tristan Jarry for the Penguins.

My probability has the Penguins winning this one and the line movement here is promising.

$10 bet on the Penguins.

Nashville Predators (-176) at Ottawa Senators (146)

Pick: Bet $10 Ottawa

Notes: I made some money betting on Ottawa the other day and dammit, I think I need to jump on them again with this plus line.

I have Nashville winning this game but not by this amount. And seems like Vegas agrees because this line has plummeted since the open.

Ottawa is putting up some goals lately – granted its against lesser opponents.

Nashville got the big win over the Wild two days ago and beat the Senators badly just a week ago.

So more than likely they do get the win today but I’ll take a flyer on Ottawa here.

$10 bet on the Senators.

Philadelphia Flyers (114) at Columbus Blue Jackets (-137)

Pick: Lean Columbus

Montreal Canadiens (134) at New Jersey Devils (-162)

Pick: Lean New Jersey

Buffalo Sabres (275) at Carolina Hurricanes (-350)

Pick: Lean Carolina

Seattle Kraken (128) at Chicago Blackhawks (-154)

Pick: Lean Seattle

Toronto Maple Leafs (-146) at Dallas Stars (122)

Pick: Lean Toronto

Vancouver Canucks (-192) at Arizona Coyotes (158)

Pick: Lean Vancouver

Calgary Flames (-225) at San Jose Sharks (184)

Pick: Lean Calgary

Edmonton Oilers (-128) at Los Angeles Kings (106)

Pick: Lean Los Angeles
