Max’s Sports Bet Picks for 5/26/22

Sports Bet Picks for 5/26/22

DAL (7) at GSW (-7)

Pick: Bet $10 GSW

Total: 215.5 (Lean Over – 217)

Predicted Score: DAL 106 – GSW 111

Notes: When I look at my metrics, I can see that Golden State wins but doesn’t quite cover the 7.

But then I look a bit closer at these playoff games and this what I see.

13, 10, 9, 6, 25, 11, 28, 33, 13, 14, 9, and 27.

The 6 in there was when Boston came back from 26 down. The last “close” game in the playoffs was when Boston lost to Milwaukee by 3 on May 11th.

So yeah, it seems like the winning team wins and covers.

I do believe Golden State wins and as such, they should cover.

$10 bet on the Warriors.

New York Rangers (126) at Carolina Hurricanes (-152)

Pick: Bet $10 Carolina

Notes: This series has gone as predicted.

The Rangers grabbed a big win in game 4 and now we head back to Carolina – where the Hurricanes will win game 5.

Each of these teams probably are not looking ahead to Tampa Bay just yet, but they should already be worried.

Tampa has been the one team in these playoffs – ok, maybe the Blues now – that seems to just fine with going on the road in a tough environment and grabbing a win.

We have not really seen that from either of these two teams.

The Rangers’ offense has been pretty solid the past two games and Shesterkin has been unbelievable.

I just think the home crowd makes a big difference today and Carolina grabs a close win.

Eye the under and bet $10 on the Hurricanes.

Edmonton Oilers (126) at Calgary Flames (-152)

Pick: Lean Calgary

Notes: Calgary has been a streaky team all season.

They have gone on runs of 4, 5, 6 and even 10 games in a row.

But they’ve also lost 4 straight games a few times this year too.

And that’s what they face tonight as they head back home to host an Oilers team that is itching to punch their way into the conference finals.

Edmonton has arguably the best player in hockey with Connor McDavid.

Yet it’s been Evander Kane doing most of the damage as of late.

That 1-2 punch has been too much for the Flames.

The main issue has been that Mike Smith has been outplaying Jacob Markstrom in goal this series.

That’s something I didn’t really predict.

I do think the Flames bounce back and win today so leaning them – but all of the value here is on Edmonton to win another.

MIL (104) at STL (-122)

Pick: Bet $10 MIL

Notes: I made some money betting Milwaukee and promptly lost it by fading them.

I’ll try again to get a read on this team as they head to St. Louis today.

The Brewers will put Eric Lauer on the mound to face off against 40-year-old Adam Wainwright.

He will turn 41 this summer because, well, I will turn 41 this summer.

The difference is he’s actually not showing signs of any aging where as I feel like I’m 70.

Should be a good pitching matchup and a close game but I like Milwaukee here to sneak out the win.

$10 bet on the Brewers.

TOR (134) at LAA (-158)

Pick: Bet $10 LAA

Notes: I missed on the Angels yesterday.

Thanks Detmers. I put my trust in you!

Now I will put my trust in Shohei Ohtani to beat Ryu today in a matchup of two guys from totally separate countries that I know some of you out there thought wasn’t the case.

Anyway, I like Shohei to get things done today.

Other than an early season blip, he’s pitched extremely well.

While Ryu has been hit hard in most of his starts.

His last one was a good one but still, he’s been sporadic at best this year.

Toronto is 9-12 on the road this year and I think they lose another one.

$10 bet on Anaheim.

LAD (-172) at ARI (144)

Pick: Bet $10 ARI

Notes: The Dodgers lost to Washington yesterday so hard to believe they would lose again today to the D-Backs but I think it’s a possibility.

Arizona is 12-11 at home this season and have the starting pitcher advantage in this one.

The D-Backs offense has picked up and granted, it is against lesser competition.

But they have a chance to flex today against Mitch White.

$10 bet on Arizona.

TEX (108) at OAK (-126)

Pick: Bet $10 TEX

Notes: And here it is Arch. I teased about betting Texas yesterday and they in fact won.

Can they win two in a row and will I place my first bet on them?

Yes and yes!

Grabbing the Rangers with this ever shrinking plus line against an Oakland team that is 6-14 at home this season.

$10 bet on Texas.

CHC (-124) at CIN (106)

Pick: Lean CIN

NYY (-132) at TB (112)

Pick: Lean NYY

COL (-108) at WSH (-108)

Pick: Lean WSH

CLE (120) at DET (-142)

Pick: Lean CLE

PHI (102) at ATL (-120)

Pick: Lean PHI

KC (154) at MIN (-184)

Pick: Lean MIN

BOS (-104) at CWS (-112)

Pick: Lean BOS
