Max’s Sports Bet Picks for 6/18/22

Sports Bet Picks for 6/18/22

Tampa Bay Lightning (132) at Colorado Avalanche (-160)

Pick: Lean Tampa

Notes: Colorado must be happy to have escaped game 1 with a win but also a bit terrified of what they are up against in these finals.

Maybe the long layoff or the early big lead made them complacent in the later periods of the game.

Whatever it was, they coughed up a good lead early and almost lost home ice.

The big names for Tampa all showed up in game 1 offensively but their defense looked shaky most of the game.

Still, after giving up 3 goals in the first, they managed to fend off the Avalanche until OT.

I think the value is on the Lightning here.

I just hate that the money is hitting them and the line is getting better.

So just a lean on Tampa.

NYY (116) at TOR (-136)

Pick: Bet $10 TOR

Notes: The Yankees dominated the Blue Jays yesterday but at some point, New York has to lose a game, right?

It does seem like the Yankees can just win them all but today I’m going to bank on them breaking their 8-game winning streak.

Toronto will put young phenom Alek Manoah on the mound.

We’ve been talking about this dude since last season and he continues to produce – posting a 1.67 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and an 8-1 record.

The opposing side isn’t that shabby either.

Jameson Taillon is having a surprisingly good year.

He’s 7-1 with a 2.93 ERA and 1.05 WHIP.

So should be a good matchup and possibly a lower-scoring game as opposed to yesterday.

I like Toronto to escape with a win in this series and today’s the day.

$10 bet on the Blue Jays.

PHI (-210) at WSH (176)

Pick: Bet $10 WSH

Notes: The Nationals have lost 7 games in a row after losing a double-header yesterday.

The silver lining is they pushed the Phillies to extra innings in game 2 yesterday.

The Phillies will put Aaron Nola on the mound.

Nola is just 4-4 on the year but his stats are pretty good and he’s been really good over his past 4 games.

But Josiah Gray has also been much better over his past 3 games and I think there’s value on taking the Nats today with this big plus line.

These teams are playing a 5 game series and Washington should win at least one.

I’m hoping its today.

$10 bet on the Nationals.

SD (-142) at COL (120)

Pick: Bet $10 SD

Notes: The Padres got beaten up badly by the Rockies yesterday so I am looking for them to bounce back today.

The Rockies have won the last 3 games in their season series with the Padres but will have a tough time today with Marquez on the mound.

He has a 6.09 ERA which is the worst of his career.

His last game was a solid outing against this same Padres team but now he’s back home where his ERA jumps up.

The Padres will counter with Nick Martinez – who has been decent enough this season.

I think he should keep them in this one and the offense will come alive today to back him.

$10 bet on the Padres.

TEX (-130) at DET (110)

Pick: Lean DET

MIA (160) at NYM (-190)

Pick: Lean MIA

MIL (-112) at CIN (-104)

Pick: Lean MIL

LAA (-132) at SEA (112)

Pick: Lean SEA

CLE (198) at LAD (-240)

Pick: Lean LAD

STL (100) at BOS (-118)

Pick: Lean STL

LAA () at SEA ()

Pick: TBD
