Max’s Sports Bet Picks for 6/27/22

Sports Bet Picks for 6/27/22

BOS (158) at TOR (-188)

Pick: Bet $10 BOS

Notes: Let’s talk about how good the Yankees are.

The Red Sox have won 7 games in a row.

They are 19-4 in the month of June.

They clawed their way up to second place in the AL East.

They are 11 games back of the Yankees.

One of the teams they leapfrogged was the Blue Jays.

Toronto will look to make up some ground today as they put Kevin Gausman on the mound to take on rookie Connor Seabold.

Seabold will likely be a spot starter as the Red Sox await the return of Garrett Whitlock and Nathan Eolvalid.

In triple A this season, Seabold has a 2.09 ERA and 1.00 WHIP.

So there is some hope he can give the team a good start today against this sometimes potent Toronto lineup.

And there’s some hope from me today too.

I like the Red Sox here to grab the win.

They are the hotter team with the hotter bats and getting a big plus line.

$10 bet on Boston.

MIA (116) at STL (-134)

Pick: Bet $10 MIA

Notes: The Fish finally paid out against the Mets yesterday and now they hit to road to Missouri to take on my kindred spirit Adam Wainwright and the St. Louis Cardinals.

Wainwright is having a decent year but has come off consecutive starts where he’s given up 4 runs.

In his 5 losses this year, the Cardinals’ offense has not been able to bail him out when gives up more than 3 runs.

They’ve only managed to do that twice this year.

Lucky for him, the Marlins’ offense is rarely capable of putting up 4 runs.

Unless they are playing in Colorado.

The Fish will put Pablo Lopez on the mound today.

Lopez had a bounce back game against the Rockies his last time out after being roughed up by the Mets prior to that.

Lopez is still one of the leading Cy Young candidates and I like him today to outduel the old man.

$10 bet on Miami.

TEX (-142) at KC (120)

Pick: Bet $10 TEX

Notes: With the Red Sox dealing with pitcher injuries I bet they wish they held on to Martin Perez.

Perez spent his first 7 seasons in Texas before spending a season in Minnesota and the past two seasons in Boston.

Over his career, he’s been a mid-tier pitcher.

But this season, something has changed.

He’s really fucking good this year.

And possibly that will change at some point.

Or maybe Texas will be smart and trade him to an overpaying team in need of a starter.

Hey Philly, remember Kyle Gibson’s Cy Young run in the first half of the season last year?

Any interest in trying again?

As for Kris Bubic, I don’t think teams will be calling about him before the deadline.

The Royals just lost 2 of 3 to the fucking A’s and now only sit 2.5 games ahead of Oakland for the worst record in the league.

The Royals have the 5th worst run differential in the league while Texas has managed to get to a positive run differential during some recent solid play.

It is a chalky one for a team 3 games under .500, but against the Royals, I think this could be even worse.

$10 bet on Texas.
