Notes: The Red Sox bounced back and took yesterday’s game over KC.
But let’s remember that Boston can lose to KC and we just need to rewind all the way back to game 1 for proof of that.
Daniel Lynch will get the start for KC today and he’s actually pitched pretty well lately.
The same cannot be said about Nathan Eovaldi.
He’s coming off a really good start but before that he had been rocked in three consecutive games.
Boston has faded in the playoff hunt and need to leapfrog 5 other teams to grab one of the 3 wild card spots.
I just don’t see them having it in them for a run and expect some more inconsistent play down the stretch.
As such, some value on KC today.

Notes: The Brewers beat the Reds yesterday – which sets it up nicely for me to bet Cincinnati today.
The Reds will put their 24-year-old, lefty pitcher Nick Lodolo on the mound today.
He will face off against 2-9 Aaron Ashby.
Ashby has been decent enough but seems to keep losing games.
Here’s hoping he’s got another loss in store for today.

Notes: Well, I hit on the Dodgers yesterday.

Yes, I dare.
The Padres got absolutely smoked yesterday and its clear that LA is still the premier team in the NL West.
San Diego will trot out Mike Clevinger today to take on Andrew Heaney.
Heaney looked solid in his last few starts since coming off the IL.
He was limited to a pitch count but I expect them to continue to increase that.
Not that the Dodgers aren’t flushed with pitching as it is.
But with Kershaw being injured and also Kershaw being Kershaw come playoff time, having a guy like Heaney pitching well would be a good insurance policy.
I like him and LA again today.
