Max’s Sports Bet Picks for 9/15/21

MLB

Sports Bet Picks for 9/15/21

MIA (-117) at WSH (108)

Pitchers: T. Rogers (ERA: 2.73 – Road ERA: 2.67 – Avg. ML: 112) vs. J. Rogers (ERA: 3.95 – Home ERA: 5.19 – Avg. ML: 115)

Pick: Bet $10 MIA

Notes: I have laid off this series so far and I probably should just wait to hear what Arch has to say since he’s been right betting both games so far. But alas, our show structure says I go first so I’ll have to wait to see if I’m wrong here. But I like the Fish today to close out this series.

The hesitation with ever betting the Fish is their hitting. Over the past 15 days, they are batting .210 – only better than the Angels and Padres in that span. They have scored 45 runs. Again, only better than those aforementioned teams.

The Nats’ bats have stayed hot. 76 runs with a .258 batting average the past 15 days puts them in top 10 in the majors for both stats.

It’s the pitching that gets me onto Miami. They have the 4th best team ERA over this span compared to Washington’s 5.64 team ERA – that ranks 27th in the Majors during that span.

I just think the pitching should get it done today as Rogers beats out Rogers. I mean, Peralta v. Peralta was a stalemate yesterday, but that won’t happen today with the Rogers.

$10 bet on the Fish.

MIL (-206) at DET (187)

Pitchers: B. Woodruff (ERA: 2.52 – Road ERA: 2.64 – Avg. ML: -134) vs. M. Manning (ERA: 6.41 – Home ERA: 5.06 – Avg. ML: 137)

Pick: Bet $10 MIL

Notes: I was wrong on this one yesterday so let’s try to be right today. Detroit beat the Brewers in extra innings last night and the teams finish their season series today with Brandon Woordruff taking on Matt Manning.

Woodruff looks to shake off a bad performance from 9 days ago where he gave up 4 runs in 6 innings. He missed his last start due to some explosive diarrhea. Or “stomach bug” as the team called it. From what I hear, he looked like the chocolate fountain at a Golden Corral.

Shitting his brains out or not, he’s the better option than Matt Manning.

So a $10 bet on the Brewers today.

OAK (-135) at KC (125)

Pitchers: S. Manaea (ERA: 3.84 – Road ERA: 3.7 – Avg. ML: -113) vs. M. Minor (ERA: 5.13 – Home ERA: 5.3 – Avg. ML: 118)

Pick: Bet $10 KC

Notes: Max should never double-dip. Its one of the few rules I have. That and not jumping on a game I didn’t circle before the show. Well, I’m dumb and I know I should walk away with the profits from the Royals game yesterday but I just can’t resist.

Oakland is a hot mess right now. They jumped out to a huge lead on Kowar yesterday in the first and the Royals stormed back. Oakland as a 6.51 team ERA the past 15 days – only better than the Orioles. Their team WHIP is also second worst in that span – as they have given up the second most amount of hits in that span.

Lead or no lead, I cannot trust the A’s. Manaea has not been part of the problem but unless he pitches 9, this team is in trouble. Mike Minor has pitched very well as of late and I like the Royals to grab another win today.

$10 bet on KC.
