Max’s Sports Bet Picks for 9/16/21

NFL Week 2: Thursday Night Football

Sports Bet Picks for 9/16/21

NY Giants at Washington

Spread: Lean Giants +3.5

Total: 40.5 (Bet $50 Under – 36)

Predicted Score: Washington 19 – NY Giants 16

Overview: The Washington Football Team will move on from the injured Ryan Fitzpatrick and dip back into a well they drunk from last year. Taylor Heinicke will get the start this week and he should be enough to get past a Giants team that has had Washington’s number. In fact, it seems that Daniel Jones can only beat the Football Collective. He’s 4-0 in career starts against Washington and the Club last beat New York in 2018.

That should change today. Former Giant Landon Collins will look to prove a point and lead that defense to some big plays. The Giants defense is good. Washington’s is very good.

Offensively, I think Washington has slightly better personnel and the better o-line. So they should nab a win but I think it’ll be close.

So a lean on the Giants with the points. What I do love is the under in this game. It should be a low-scoring affair. Both teams can play D, neither offense is explosive and it’s a short week. I know its early in the season, but a short week is a short week.

$50 bet on the under.

NFL Week 2: Fantasy Football

Sports Bet Picks for 9/16/21

Week 1 Overview: Not a good week 1 in DFS. Matt Ryan shit the bed and Raheem Mostert was injured for the season. Russell Gage and Brandon Aiyuk were held scoreless. Adam Thielen and Travis Kelce were my only shining spots.

In my PPR league, I won my week 1 matchup and had the 3rd highest scoring production in the league. Matt Stafford helped lead the way but I also have Thielen and Kelce in that league too.

Matt Stafford (LAR) – He had a great week 1 in the Rams offense. I get that the Colts seem like a tough defensive matchup but they can be thrown on. Russell Wilson cooked on them last week. At $7500 on FanDuel, Stafford is the 9th ranked QB but could be a top 3 scorer this week.

Nick Chubb (CLE) – Chubb had 83 yards and 2 TDs last week. And he should continue that production against the Texans.

Jarvis Landry (CLE) – Guess I am on a Browns kick this week. Or just against the Texans. Landry should be Mayfield’s top target with OBJ still banged up. And at $6800, you are getting some value there.

Darren Waller (LVR) – Darren Waller could be the top TE this season in fantasy. He’s a must start this week.

Rams – I think Los Angeles gets after Wentz this week and puts up some good numbers. At $4700, I like them better some of the pricier defenses.

Matt Ryan (ATL) – Maybe I’m feeling burned from last week but I do not like Ryan this week against the Bucs’ defense.

Josh Jacobs (LVR) – Jacobs was banged up in Week 1 and faces a tough Steelers defense. Not worth the $6500 risk.

Jaylen Waddle (MIA) – Don’t like the rookie facing off against the Bills’ defense. Buffalo will not want to go 0-2 on the season and will be after Tua and Waddle all day.

Zach Ertz (PHI) – He’s injured and he’s not the prime tight end in Philly anymore. Not worth the flyer in my opinion.

Baker Mayfield (CLE) – He should produce against a lackluster Houston defense and at $7100 on FanDuel, he’s a bargain.
