NFL Week 4 Thursday Night Football Bets

Miami (4) vs. Cincinnati (-4)

Spread: Lean Miami

Total: Lean Under 47

Predicted Score: Miami 21 – Cincinnati 20 (41)

Notes: Miami is one of the remaining undefeated teams left.

We mentioned on the show yesterday that part of it was being opportunistic.

They took advantage of a Ravens team that took their foot off the pedal a few weeks ago.

They took advantage of a Bills team that was not prepared to play in the heat and had several defensive injuries.

They also totally did not lie about their QB’s concussion in that game.

The Dolphins have a QB that we’re kinda, sorta, still not sure about.

Tua has shown he can produce with the weapons around him.

But will there be a drop-off at some point?

And will his non-concussion be an issue today as the Bengals, coincidentally, unveil their home white uniforms today?

It’s not all on Tua, though.

Miami has not done well with ball control this season.

They rank 21st in time of possession and are down from last season.

And part of that is a 31st ranked rushing attack.

Which won’t get going today against a stingy Cincinnati rushing defense.

The Bengals may be only 1-2 this season but defense has not been the issue.

They held the Steelers to 23 points and the Cowboys to 20.

Both were 3-point losses and I’m not a math guy, but that’s some shitty offense to me.

The first game saw Burrow throw 4 INTs and the second game saw him throw for under 200 yards.

The Bengals’ rushing attack has not been as good as last season and overall, the offense does not look to be clicking yet.

The key word is yet.

I wasn’t ready to anoint them as being back after beating up on the Jets.

A big win today could start changing my perception on them.

This game is a weird one betting wise.

The line of 4 is screaming for you to bet Miami.

But I just can’t do it.

A lean on the Dolphins.

MLB Bets

TEX (100) at SEA (-118)

Pick: Bet $10 TEX

Notes: These teams wrap up their season series today as Texas looks to be a possible road bump to Seattle’s playoff spot.

Another loss by the O’s yesterday gave Seattle a bit more wiggle room.

But a losing streak could doom them.

Marco Gonzales will get the start for the Mariners today.

He’s not having a good month – posting a 4.44 ERA and 3 losses.

He matches up against Jon Gray – who has looked really good since coming back from his injury.

I backed a J. Gray yesterday and that paid off for me.

I’ll take another shot today.

$10 bet on Texas.

COL (184) at SF (-220)

Pick: Bet $10 COL

Notes: Not sure if I consider this chasing waterfalls since I took a day off in between.

But I am going to jump on the Rockies here to avoid the sweep today.

Carlos Rodon is the Giants’ ace – but he is vulnerable.

The D-Backs got to him early in his last start.

I’m hoping the Rockies can at least chase him early and get to that sub-par Giants’ bullpen.

I don’t feel great about pinning my hopes on Ryan Feltner.

But that’s what lottery tickets are about.

Having faith in the improbable.

$10 bet on Colorado.
